Rain continues to pummel the flooded Carolinas in the wake of this weekend’s deadly Hurricane Florence. To assist credit union people affected by the storm, your Northwest Credit Union Foundation is teaming up with the National Credit Union Foundation as they activate the online disaster relief system, CUAID.COOP to raise money for credit union employees and volunteers.
Credit union employees, volunteers, and members, as well as credit unions and credit union organizations across the United States, can contribute directly through the site.
Your Foundation is contributing $5,000 to seed the Northwest credit union community’s contributions to CUAID.COOP. We’re asking credit unions and credit union members to join our efforts.
“When the Northwest region has needed help in the past – from windstorms, wildfires, and other natural disasters – the Credit Union Movement came to our aid,” said Foundation Executive Director, Sharee Adkins. “Now it’s time we help in return. We appreciate anything your credit union and your members can do to support our extended credit union family grappling with the aftermath of Hurricane Florence.”
