Do You Know How to Prepare for Wildfires?

While Hotshot crews work gallantly to battle Oregon’s 400,000-plus acre Bootleg wildfire, hundreds of other blazes are burning across the Northwest. NWCUA’s Wildfire Resource Center provides information to prepare your credit union, employees, directors, and members for a wildfire in your area.
Helpful links allow you to monitor every active wildfire in the region so you can see what percentage of each fire is under control and have the most up-to-date information regarding evacuations. Your team and members can learn what to have packed and at the ready if it’s necessary to evacuate with the downloadable and shareable “What to Put in an Emergency Supply Kit” infographic.
The Northwest Credit Union Foundation is here to help.
The NWCUF’s Disaster Relief Fund is also available to provide financial relief to credit unions, employees, and directors affected by wildfires. The fund provides up to $1,500 per individual to offset unexpected lodging, fuel, food, and replacement costs in the event a wildfire displaces credit union team members or impacts credit union operations. For more information, please contact NWCUF Executive Director Sharee Adkins, or access the fund application here.
You’re encouraged to bookmark the NWCUA Wildfire Resource Center and share the link with your team.
